Spring Forward Thank-You Gifts:
What a year.
It’s been a year that has made everyone focus on what’s important; our families, our communities, our well-being. For us at WMMT, it’s you, our listeners and supporters. It’s getting our radio signal out to you, packed with the music, stories, and programmers’ personalities you’ve come to expect. We are proud to have kept the tales and the music spinning for you this past year, and we are very excited to keep our signal strong and our voice clear as we venture forward in making mountain community radio the best it can be.
For the past few years, WMMT has been working towards upgrading our broadcasting equipment. Last April, when our main transmitter decided to “retire” without warning, we recognized how immediate our needs are. We are in the process of updating and replacing other aged transmitters throughout the region to make sure WMMT is available over the air to everyone within our broadcast radius.
We are also updating our on-air studios (broadcasting daily since 1985!), continuing the important work of our Pass the Pick & Bow after school Traditional Music programming, moving forward with our Calls From Home program, expanding our online reach, and keeping local stories in the forefront with our public affairs reporting.
With all the variables of 2020, we weren’t able to hold our fund drives as we normally do, and we are hoping you’ll support us as we embark on our 2021 Spring Forward! Fund Drive. Although it may sound a little different on the radio this year as we navigate safety protocols, we are looking forward to hearing from you. Community radio relies on listeners and supporters like you to keep us on the air and streaming 24 hours a day.
Will you help us reach our goal of $20,000 in the month of March?

Warm wishes and wellness,
